Paula Calnen

Physiotherapist/Owner

Paula Calnen, one of our esteemed Bedford physiotherapists and Co-Owner at Balance 360 Health, brings over two decades of experience to our team. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from Queens University in 2002, launching her career in private practice physiotherapy. Paula’s expertise spans orthopedic, sports, work-related, and motor vehicle injury treatment.

In 2008, Paula achieved a Clinical Masters in Manipulation and Manual Therapy from Western University and obtained her Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) the same year. Her commitment to excellence led her to complete both entry and advanced-level vestibular rehabilitation courses, earning her Certificate of Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation.

Paula is also certified in Acupuncture from the Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI) and holds a Functional Dry Needling certification. Her practice primarily focuses on Orthopedic Physiotherapy in Bedford and Vestibular Rehabilitation in Halifax. She has worked with neurological disorders, concussion management, and has mentored fellow physiotherapists within the orthopedic division. Paula also serves as a lab instructor with Dalhousie University’s Master of Physiotherapy program.

Her extensive training includes courses in Manual Therapy, Concussion Management, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Mulligan Concepts, Mackenzie, Kinesio Taping, and Auricular Acupuncture. Paula is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Balance and Dizziness Canada, Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA), and the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. In her leisure time, Paula enjoys quality moments with her family at the cottage, downhill skiing, and playing ringette.

Erinn Davidson, one of our esteemed Bedford physiotherapists, earned her Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University in 2006. She proudly co-owns Balance 360 Health, where her clinical journey has prominently featured Vestibular Rehabilitation in Halifax since 2009.

Erinn’s dedication led her to complete both entry and advanced-level vestibular rehabilitation courses and attain a competency-based certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University, Atlanta, in 2012. She has also expanded her expertise to include concussion management, pediatric vestibular rehabilitation, acupuncture, dry needling, and manual therapy. Erinn is an active member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Balance and Dizziness Canada, and the Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA), all contributing to her commitment to Orthopedic Physiotherapy in Bedford.

Jodi Bowden holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mount Allison University since 2000. She furthered her expertise by graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2007.

With extensive experience in multidisciplinary clinics, Jodi specializes in aiding clients with acute and chronic injuries, postural dysfunction, and a range of soft tissue conditions, including headaches, whiplash, and neurological disorders. Her skill set extends to addressing plantar fasciitis and more. Jodi employs traditional massage therapy techniques to alleviate pain, enhance muscle and joint function, and promote overall health and wellness. Her treatment plans benefit from a wealth of educational courses and valuable skills, making her a valued member of the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia.

Occupational Therapist

Heather Boudreau, a distinguished therapist, graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Prior to that, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in 1995. With an impressive 26-year career, Heather’s expertise spans across various domains. She has excelled in assessing and treating whiplash and back injuries, upper limb musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, and concussion.

Her extensive knowledge extends to ergonomics, cognitive assessments and rehabilitation, vision therapy, task analysis, and the development of return-to-work programs. Heather is also highly trained in Matheson, KEY, WorkWell, and ARCON Functional Capacity Evaluations, making her a valued expert in Bedford physiotherapists, vestibular rehabilitation in Halifax, and Orthopedic Physiotherapy in Bedford.

She is duly qualified and certified to practice as an occupational therapist in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and provides independent assessments for employers, long term disability insurers, motor vehicle insurers, doctors, disability/case managers and private clients.
